Review: Hask Argan Oil & Keratin Protein Hair Products

Sponsored by Brandbacker

I haven't colored my hair for 2-3 years now. It's been below-the-chin-length long for as long as I know. The last time I rocked a bob cut was back in my early college days.

Maintaining long, healthy hair is pretty much like a must for me and I would love to keep it that way as long as I can! My grandma had long silver locks and I'd love to rock long silver locks too in the future!
So when Brandbacker was offering to review HASK Argan Oil & Keratin Protein Hair Products, I am really glad I got to test these products out!

You may be wondering what brand Hask is since this is not one of those popular drugstore brands. For me that is, I have never heard of this brand before, but I am always open to try new products especially when it claims to keep my hair healthy, smooth and strong with great natural ingredients!
You can actually easily find them on your favorite drugstores! Just check out their "Where To Buy" Section and you will find it at CVS, WalMart, Walgreens and so many other ones carry Hask!
And according to their site, HaskBeauty.com:
For over 50 years, this classic beauty brand delivers unique, intensive conditioning treatments in single/double use packaging which is primarily known to repair
For this post I will be reviewing, two different hair care product line from HASK:

HASK Argan Oil from Morocco

HASK Keratin Protein

About the Product:

  • "Keratin revives, restores, calms and strengthens parched, frizzy locks—wiping out the effects of heat, humidity and over-styling and helping your hair look and feel its best."
  • Free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, drying alcohol, and artificial colors
  • Ideal for dry, frizzy, over processed and color treated hair
  • shampoo: reduces frizz, blocks humidity, gently cleanses hair and revitalizes hairs soft and silky smooth
  • conditioner: smoothes and detangles hair
  • smoothing deep conditioner: repairs damage, reduces breakage; helps reduce static and drying time
  • smoothing shine oil: lightweight, alcohol-free oil, gives hair frizz free shine with no oily residue

My Verdict:

  • As for HASK Argan Oil products:
    • I love the refreshing scent this has and it stays on my hair! I checked the ingredients and it has Citrius Aurantium Dulcis (orange) Oil! That's why it has a nice citrus scent to it! I have used other argan oils and this smells the best!
    • I air dry my hair all the time and lately I have learned a trick from YouTuber (Life with Evelinablow dry with cool air + using the repairing shine oil while hair is 80% wet still, helps soften and smooth the frizz! That seems to be the best way to use this so far.
    • I use the repairing deep conditioner once a week which helps keep my hair hydrated
  • Overall after using the whole line of Argan Oil products for 2-3 weeks, my hair looks pretty healthy, shiny, still a bit frizzy and less hair fall out!
  • As for the HASK Keratin Protein products:
    • This has a different scent from the Argan Oil line. If you are not a fan of citrus scented hair care products, try this line out.
    • This has Sesame Seed Oil, Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil, which gives this line a more calming, relaxing-feel type of scent.
    • I used this line for 2 weeks and this gave my hair a soft and silky feel to it.
    • My favorite from this line is the smoothing shine oil which tames the frizzes better than the argan oil.
  • Both hair care line unfortunately did not help heal my sebhorreic dermatitis (dry scalp). I do have a prescription to get that in-check. Thought I would share this info with you since I haven't really found any over-the-counter shampoos besides Heads&Shoulders and Neutrogena T-Gel, which both were too strong and I had so much hair fall out from it! We can discuss more about that in the comments below if you like, but if you do have the same problem as I do, I suggest getting it checked with a dermatologist than using those strong medicated over-the-counter ones that will ruin your long hair.

Overall HASK hair products are one of my favorite hair care line of products out there. It's very gentle on my long hair, and the best of all - I have not seen any split ends, and really less hair fall out! The oil does not weigh my hair down at all! So if you see it at your drugstore, check it out!
