Dear June,
Thank you for being so good to me. Though it was a busy month, I really had fun! Starting the month of with an awesome weekend with my best friend from high school back in the Philippines! I miss her so much already! I also got to attend Inglot and Sephora events in New York City, which were awesome and now I can't wait to have more Inglot make-up to add to my ever expanding collection! Caught up with friends over dinner and drinks, whom we have not seen almost over a year because of everybody's schedule was just busy-busy-busy! And there's more!. . .
Winning an awesome giveaway from a beautiful blogger, Ann of Marine Wife Beauty Blog (check her blog here). I am really in-love with the Wild-Fox Couture necklace! I have been trying to plan my outfits around this necklace, and I have been getting tons of compliment from it!
This Pacifica Coconut Crushed Pearl Luminizing Body Butter was also part of the prize pack from the giveaway. This has a coconut scent so light and sweet, and the shimmer it gives my skin when I applied this all over my legs and arms looks like I just came from Paradise Island! The shimmer it gives is very subtle so it was ok to wear it during the day time! For night time I just used this by my decolletage, like a highlight. This makes Summer Stay-cation looked more like I went to Bora-Bora or Maui!
I really have been liking a lot of the products I received from my prize pack, and this Suki Butter Cream Salve with organic lavender extract and organic cocoa butter, is another one. I have been using this on my lips every night, it has kept my lips pretty moisturized and a great prep before putting lipstick on! Since this is a multi-functional, therapeutic organic salve I also have applied this on my mosquito bites, and it really helped calm down the inflammation! This is what it says in the back
"relieves & calms inflammation, redness & irritation, chaffing & chapping, provides long-lasting moisture & restores the essential moisture barrier"
I really believe this has met all it's claims and I would buy the jar if I do not have other lotions or cream samples to try right now (If you want to check it out just Google the name to see different price listings!)
And lastly from my prize pack is the Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado. This one was a sample packet and lasted me two weeks of using it twice a day. This was non-greasy under my eyes and the concealer goes on smooth on top of it, but it really kept my under eye skin pretty moisturized. I don't think it helped with the dark circles though. This had a nice cooling effect as you pat it on under the eyes, which goes away, helped with the puffiness actually! I'd definitely buy the full size of this, after I run out of eye cream samples!
The NuMe Finishing Serum has been great with my frizzy hair. I usually put this on my dry hair before I leave the house in the morning. Oh and did I mention how shiny my hair looked after I applied this to my straightened hair?!? OMG! It was pretty shiny and soft, I just felt so flirty having it lose that night! My hair has never looked that shiny and healthy! I wish I know how to give myself a nice blowout, I'm gonna bet my hair will look so fab!
I did not think I would be loving two items in Ipsy's June Glambag, but now they're both part of my routine! This Starlooks lip pencil in Tickle Me Pink is just the perfect pink color I have been looking for! I did not think I was going to be able to pull off pink lips, but this one compliments my skin tone well and it just gives that nice sort-of nude but pinky lips. I just fill in my entire lip with the lip liner and top it off with gloss, voila! This has been my go-to everyday lip look especially when I am wearing printed or colored outfits!
Hopefully July is as great (or better) as you! I still have tons of beauty product samples to try out and I can't wait how they will handle this Summer heat. Again, I just want to thank you June for starting the Summer season on a great note! Now how can we slow time so I can enjoy the next two months of Summer without rushing?!?
hugs&kisses!
Jackie
