Get The Look (beauty): Angel Sanchez NYFW SS16

Lead Stylist: Jordi Martinez for Fekkai
"The collection is very couture, 'over-the-top' so the hair is completely the opposite, very natural, very fresh, and very very young."
The look of natural straight hair with a bit of texture by finger-combing through the hair. Imitating the look of "bed hair".

Fekkai PrX Mending Elixir - to damp hair, the hair looks fresh and clean and also rich and smooth
Hair is blow dried straight. Flat iron is used if necessary.
Blowout Sealing Serum - working the serum throughout the hair and back combing with fingers

Lead Artist: Gisel Cavilo for MAC
"there's a lot of colors and textures on the dresses and I wanted to do the same thing with the makeup...More of colorless on the skin, so it's more glowing."

By highlighting the features of the eyes, skin and the lips using
MAC Studio Water Weight foundation - makes the skin look luminous
Joy Toy Foiled eyeshadow - pressed on the lids for illumination
A mix of Shine Mixing Medium and Lightly Tauped Studio Eyegloss - added on top of lids
No Mascara is used just curled the lashes

Velvetease Lip Pencil in Just Add Romance (new product) - applied to lips then removed to create a cherry stain

Gina Edwards for Morgan Taylor Lacquer
"...we wanted to create this beautiful satin-y, pearl oyster nails, very subdued and calm."

...by creating the classic neutral with a matte finish
no base coat, two coats of In The Nude
topped with Matte To Wrap to bring down the whiteness and gives a smooth texture to the nails

*Here's a Pro-tip from Gina Edwards on How to make matte nails last!
"After applying color on the nails, follow that up with Need For Speed Topcoat (fast drying topcoat) cure that color and then follow it with Mattes A Wrap (for double protection on the nails)."

I unfortunately couldn't stay for the runway show so all I have are backstage pictures, and for more backstage action shots check out my Facebook album:
