My Summer Skin Saviors!

Sunburn, bug bites, breakouts, dry skin and chappy lips are just some of the skin problems I go through every Summer. Now, I have finally found the products that is helping me combat these nasty bites and breakouts! So here are some of My Summer Skin Saviors (can you say that 5x faster) which I am excited to share with you all!

A quick disclaimer here: Some of the products here have been sent to me to feature and review on my blog. Though these were sent to me, I always tell you my 100% honest opinion and experiences on these products. I read more information about the company and the products offered to me before I do accept to review them. For more information about my "disclaimer policy" just click on the tab above.

1- Mario Badescu Oil-Free Moisturizer SPF 17: This came in with the Acne Starter Kit, $30 - I purchased at Ulta.com (HERE) in the beginning of the year. I held back using this during Winter because I did plan to use it this Summer when my T-zone gets really oily. This sunscreen isn't matte finish but it is not as greasy as other sunscreen moisturizers are. I let this sink in to the skin, 2-5mins before I do my makeup and on days my skin is super dry I apply the next product next for added moisture...

2- Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre: I received this sample size tube from The Makeup Show-NYC, which you can read a recap HERE! I learned about this brand from the makeup artists as this is a Must-Have in their makeup kits. I only use this on days my skin would be so dry from the acne-spot treatments I have been using the few nights before. And now I finally understand why it's such a favorite! My skin is very moisturized, my makeup goes on smooth and stays on all day! This creme can be used as a moisturizer, a makeup primer and makeup remover - a pretty great multi-tasking beauty product isn't it!?

3- TruAge skin A.G.E Therapy Gel: This is a new product from the company Morinda. They are known for their Tahitian Noni Juice. This gel was officially released last July and it's their very first skin care product to fight the signs of aging! By using this it will protect, sooth and repair your skin - which I have definitely been testing out! For any open wounds or irritated skin, I have been applying this clear, odorless gel. Even on hubby's sunburnt shoulders, it has been working great and calming the redness, inflammation and the dryness of the skin in an instant! The skin absorbs it quickly and this can actually be mixed with your favorite moisturizer or body lotion if you like.

Advanced glycation end-products, or AGE's, are harmful compounds that attack our skin and make us look old and gross. Glycation is another word for AGE damage. It has been described by experts in dermatology as "the most significant breakthrough in skin care since the discovery of retinol.
lightweight, soothing, moisturizing, odorless and effective

4- Cleanse by Lauren Napier: This was another beauty find from The Makeup Show! I noticed what makes this different from the other makeup wipes is the Aloe in it that keeps my skin still hydrated after removing all my makeup. It's also great just to freshen up when it's humid out! It also contains cucumber, chamomile and fruit extracts to calm any irritation on the skin! I love that these are individually packed so there's no chance it will dry out on me if I don't use the pack right away. I actually don't leave the house without stashing some of these in my bag. For more information, check out her website:
Rich in water, aloe, chamolilla and cucumber, each wipe is slightly textured to aid in gentle and effective cleansing.
Aloe’s high water content helps prevent dehydration. Chamolilla is rich with vitamin B, reduces redness and the growth of bacteria on the skins surface. Cucumber is loaded with vitamin C that alleviates inflammation, refines pores, tightens and tones skins while balancing oils on the skin’s surface.

5-  Eucerin Aquaphor Lip repair: I purchased mine at Walgreen's when my lips were very dry and none of my other lip balms were working. I have been putting this at night before bed since there's no SPF in it. By morning, my lips are soft and plump! Do make sure you get the "Lip Repair" one since the other Aquaphor Healing Skin Ointment products are mineral oil based. I found out any petroleum or mineral-oil based lip products are the culprit for my dry lips so if you have sensitive lips like I do, make sure your lip products are petroleum free.

6- Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn Balancing Facial Wash: This was sent to me to review. I was really excited to receive this as it is a skin care product that uses sea buckthorn berries as the main ingredient, which is only harvested in the Tibet by locals! I have never used any products with that ingredient in it so I was very curious! The sea buckthorn berry will help renew, revitalize and repair your skin.

Introducing Sibu Beauty, premium skin care products made from the Himalayan sea buckthorn berry. Known as the “beauty berry” across Europe and Asia, sea buckthorn contains over 190 bioactive compounds that restore, revitalize, and protect youthful beauty – from the inside-out AND outside-in. These hardy berries help nourish skin, hair, and nails with powerful antioxidants and essential fatty acids, including the rare Omega 7 – a key building block to healthy skin, hair, and nails, and also aids digestion and may help you maintain a healthier weight. Sibu Beauty features luxurious natural skin cleansers, moisturizes, and other topical treatments as well as dietary supplements that beautify and protect from the inside-out.

I have been using this at night and it removes all my face makeup with no problem! This has micro-particles that gently exfoliates my skin so I have been using my Clarisonic Mia2  + a different face wash, in the morning instead. At first my skin was breaking out but after a week, my skin cleared and had a healthy glow to it! I love the citrus smell of this too which smells very refreshing! This is a cruelty free and vegan product, if you guys were wondering.

And that sums up my Summer must-haves; My heroes for saving my skin from any sun damages...this year that is! I truly am thankful that I get a chance to connect to beauty companies as a blogger and be able to try out their products that have such great benefits for my sensitive skin. I would definitely not be talking about these sponsored samples if they were not working for me, and I sure will would let you know if I am having problems with them. Again though, what works for me may or may not work for your skin so always listen/ observe what your skin tells you!
If there are products here that you would like me to do a more in-depth post just let me know in the comments below!
