This palette screams Summer to me. It has the colors of the sunset and that fruity summer cocktail drink I forgot what it's called. The
Maybelline Lemonade Craze
is a gorgeous palette but there were too many things here that did not work out for me.

Lemonade Craze Eyeshadow Palette
$13.99 | ulta.com
I received this product at BeautyCon NYC and didn't get much information there.
So here's what it says on Maybelline's site:
At first look, this palette definitely has everything you need for a neutral eye makeup to adding a pop of color; from your matte bone shade for the brow bone to a few matte crease shades to a few inner corner highlight shadows.
The matte shadows didn't really swatch well. They were a bit chalky and needed a few swipes so you can see the shade. The shimmery shades are gorgeous except for Main Squeeze (shimmery light yellow) which was patchy, so that needed a few swipes too.
The bottom half of the palette, which are the shades in the swatch below, are my most used shadows. I love using Coral Punch as my crease shadow, then adding Citrus on the center of the lids. Sugar Coated is another favorite with Coral Punch! Old Fashioned is great to darken the outer 'V' corner.
Here's a look I created and tried to incorporate as many shades from the palette and unfortunately Lemonade Craze (matte yellow) which I applied in my inner corners, isn't showing. I also applied Main Squeeze (shimmery light yellow shade) on top of it which I thought would help to make the yellow pop but nothing popped.

My Thoughts
This palette is infused with a citrus scent but I didn't smell any of that. I didn't even know this until I saw the description. You really can't tell there's a scent to this so there's nothing to worry about, if you have a sensitive nose.
I had a lot of problems with this palette that I don't think this is worth getting. Even though I like some of the eyeshadows from this palette, I don't think that's enough to justify this because I thought that Lemonade Craze (matte yellow), the star of this palette, would be more vibrant. You can't tell Sherbet from Sunnies on the eyes. Berry Ice (matte light pink) is nice but once I use this with Coral Punch it just disappeared. Same with the two matte browns, Sweet Tea (light brown) and Old Fashioned (brown) just turned into a light brown when blended together.
These shadows when blended would just turn into one color. My advise is to dab these shadows on the eyes when you layer it. Even on Maybelline's website the makeup tutorial video by Nikkie de Jager, better known by her YouTube channel NikkieTutorials: https://youtu.be/XnQRqykCy4o - She dabs on the shadows and she wasn't doing a lot of blending. The shadows looked more vibrant on her so I guess if you are fair like Nikkie, these shadows would pop more. I even used an eyeshadow primer and M•A•C Prep+Prime fix+, and I still had a hard time making these colors pop.
Did you get this palette? What did you think of it?
