September 2013 Favorites

I have drank my coffee and JT is playing on iTunes, now if I can just stop dancing so I can start this post. . . . .*as my dogs stare at me, probably thinking "not again!" as I dance & sing around the house*
. . . after 15 minutes: OK! I think I got all that out of my system now, and before I crash from my caffeine overload let's go over my September Favorites!

First off is this Derma-e Skin, Hair and Nail Oil that I use on my face. I had a sunburnt reaction to some Korean BB cream I was testing out since it had a whitening ingredient in it, and that did not mix well with my skin medication! I did like the finish but I unfortunately can't use it as long as I'm in my prescriptive creams. This oil is made of:

  • Argan Oil: helps to moisturize and hydrate the skin, keeping your skin looking healthy and glowing
  • Jojoba Oil: helps even out skin tone, oil control and prevents acne breakouts
  • and Kukui Oil: I learned this oil first when we were in Hawaii and was looking at creams for hubby's sunburnt skin! The local store owner recommended a Kukui lotion to soothe his sunburnt shoulders, and to moisturize his dry skin. It worked great after a few times of using it so I know this oil will help with my face that was so irritated!

This definitely soothed my irritated skin!
Another face product I have been loving this month is this Urban Decay B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray. So I got this when I bought my Urban Decay Naked Foundation Kit, which I talked about HERE, and I have been using this before I apply my makeup. It's in my favorites because of the fine mist of this spray bottle. Not sure about its claims since I still have to cover up my redness and I use a primer to minimize my pores.

Who did not see this coming?!? I think I talked about this so many times in the blog this month that it is just obvious I will be giving this one more shout out for the month!

Yes, my darlings I am talking about my Urban Decay Revolution lipstick in Venom! This thing is just super moisturizing and the very pigmented color is just sexy, period! *dropping the mic and walking off the stage*

Can you tell I am pretty hyper today and in a good mood =) Moving on! I went back to using my very first eye shadow palette purchase, theBalm Nude 'Tude this month after seeing some tutorials using this palette on Lily's blog: http://beautywithlily.blogspot.com - check her blog if you haven't!

This deluxe sample size of Pixie Lash Booster Mascara in Black that I got from my August Ipsy Glambag has held my curl pretty well! I have worn this over a good long hour Zumba work out and it held up, it is truly waterproof and long lasting! It looks natural and not clumpy and it didn't leave any smudge under my eyes.

These two make-up brushes have made my foundation and concealer application looking flawless and even and faster!

  • Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush: Part of their Starter Kit, this brush is great to apply my under eye concealer and set the powder over it, with no streaks or patchy areas.
  • Sigma F80- Flat Kabuki Brush: Which I bought on Amazon.com (HERE), has made my UD Naked Foundation application easier, smoother and more even comparing it to using my fingers or a flat synthetic foundation brush. I can't use any other foundation brush after using this! This is my only Sigma brush so I can't say anything about their other brushes.

Lastly for my Non-Beauty Fave this month is my new coaster from Rifle Paper Co. Coaster! I have used this exact coaster in the picture with my iced cold lemon water glass since I got this a few weeks ago, and look how it takes up all that condensation from the glass! There is a watermark  on the coaster but it is still pretty much intact. I have used paper coasters before and they did not last like this, they were pretty much just for decor purposes but this one held up pretty well beside it's cute design!

And that's all I have been loving through September! October is an exciting month for me since hubby's birthday month and our wedding anniversary month! It's also pumpkin pie month which we get all the way from an orchard in New Jersey! I especially love seeing the changing colors of the leaves as drive don there around this time. There are just so many things to look forward to this month, so exciting!!!

'Til next time my beautiful peeps!
And don't worry I didn't forget about posting my Lash Bash Pictures, I am working on that next!
