A few weeks ago, I attended an INGLOT + The Lion King Musical Celebratory Event. Inspired by the Lion King Broadway Show, the Creative Director of INGLOT Cosmetics, Kaye Tuckerman and Disney have teamed up to create this beautiful collection called
Savannah Sunset

*The nail polish included in this collection was not included in the PR kit and so I will not be able to review that product for you.

I went with my beautiful friend and fellow beauty blogger, Faith Roxas, at the event and so we both received the same products. We both have two different looks for you! So to give you another idea on how you can use this set, go check out Faith's post at LoveRoxie.com

Let me show you the look I have been doing using this collection and then I will share you more about the companies who have collaborated for this beautiful set and my thoughts on each product! This is going to be a lengthy one by the way as we will be covering a lot of products here.

The Look:
After applying an eye primer I use #606 (gold shimmery shade) all over the lids and for the crease, I used the lightest shade from #108R (orange rainbow shadow) and to deepen the outer "V", I used #329 (matte deep brown) and blended that a bit towards the crease. For the lower lash line, I used a mix of #606 and #329 to give that nice daytime smokey look to it (sorry you can't see it on this picture but this was the only picture from the shoot that did not washed out my makeup). On my lips is #20 and on this picture it may look red-orange but it is more on the orange side.

About The Lion King musical:
THE LION KING premiered in Broadway on November 13, 1997 and is the highest-grossing Broadway show in New York history. It is one of the most popular stage musicals in the world and seen by more than 70 million people!
It is the only second show in history to generate 5 productions worldwide running 10 or more years. The LION KING has played in 19 countries on every continent except Antartica. You can currently see the show on Broadway, London's West End, Hamburg, Tokyo, Madrid, Sao Paolo, Sydney, Australia and on tour across North America, the U.K. and Japan.

If you are in the New York area you can catch The Lion King show at The Minskoff Theatre (200 West 45th St, New York, NY).

About the products:
Inspired by the vibrancy of colors reminiscent to the African Savannah sunsets and starry nighttime skies. This exclusive color palette was launched at all INGLOT stores back in July 2014.
The Savannah Sunset collection comes in a Freedom Palette with three different eyeshadows and a face blush. Two lipsticks that comes in their own Freedom Palette, a volumizing mascara and a felt tip eyeliner pen.

The eyeshadow and lipstick pans retails for $7 each, the Rainbow shadow is $9/ea and the blush pan is $11/ea.

INGLOT Freedom System Eye Shadow Palette
$11  for the Freedom System palette
#606 - #108R - #329 - Face Blush #40
These are super pigmented shadows. INGLOT Cosmetics makes one of the best and highest quality makeup products that I have tried and for the price of each pan, you do not want to pass on INGLOT makeup products!

shade number from L-R: 606 - 108R - 329 - 40

#606 - is a gorgeous shimmery golden shade. This is great to use on it's own or just on the center of lids to add that nice shimmer.
#108R - is from their Rainbow eyeshadow collection and this comes with three different intensity of the color, from lightest to the deepest shade. You can use these shadows individually or mix the three shades.
#329 - a matte deep brown shadow, great to smoke out the look.
#40 - this face blush is a peachy-pink with gold shimmers. Gently tap on this pan as this is super pigmented!

All shadows and blush are very pigmented, easy to blend and will last me a long time. Be gentle when dipping your brush on these shadows, they are finely milled and can get messy as well.

Freedom System Lipstick Palette
$8 for the Freedom System palette
#20 - #21
#20 - is a beautiful orange shade cream lipstick
#21 - is a chocolate brown lipsick with gold glitter in them

The lipsticks can definitely be applied together or worn on it's own. #20 lipstick is gorgeous to wear for the Fall. It's that orange shade that makes a statement but is pretty wearable! #21 gives that nice gold metallic/ shimmery look to the lips, great to wear for a night out. These lipsticks brings out the gold tone on my skin and really compliments the eyeshadows well!

shade number from TOP left: 20 - 21
I suggest to moisturize your lips before applying this, so it doesn't sink in to your lip lines. This is my first time using a lip brush and this is super creamy and is really easy to apply. I do like using my finger to dab the product on as well and it gives that more softer, stain-effect look to the lips. #21 has a bit of a gritty texture to it and so I just use a small amount of this to highlight the center of my lips on top of #20.

Secret Volume Mascara
This is a nice black mascara with plastic bristles. The texture of the mascara is creamy, not too wet nor too dry. It goes on the lashes without clumping and holds my curls all day.

INGLOT Felt Tip Eyeliner Pen
$16
I am a fan of felt tip liquid eyeliners and this is so easy to use, goes on very black. It comes off with an eye makeup remover with no problem (*tip: hold the soaked cotton pad on your eye for 5-10seconds before wiping gently). I have used this liner in a hurry and had no problem, it's that easy to use! The fine tip is great in getting that nice inner corner and doing a thin winged out line.

My Thoughts:

Overall, I am very impressed with this collection. Some of you already know how I love INGLOT Cosmetics and this did not disappoint. I do prefer my lipsticks in a tube than in a pan using a lip brush though. Besides that, the quality of these products are well worth their prices.

I love that the color palette of this collection is inspired by the African sunsets and yet is very wearable for the Fall! I can see this being worn a lot during the Summer as well to brighten up a look.

For those of you who are planning to watch The Lion King Musical bring your ticket to INGLOT Times Square and like INGLOT Fanpage on Facebook to receive 20% discount on your total purchase OR get a free makeover from INGLOT! I suggest to add this Broadway show to your NYC To-do list as it is the best musical Broadway show! There's a reason that they are still playing on Broadway after 17 years. If you love the Disney movie, you will be amazed on how they brought that to the stage.

Have you tried any INGLOT products? Or any shows on Broadway you would like to see besides The Lion King???
