tag post: beauty things I suck at!

I definitely am no pro in the Beauty Department since I am just finding out all these great products in the beauty aisle of my drugstores after getting my acne in-control last year. I can make this list go on and on but that will just make this post into a novel! Anyways so I have edited my list to my TOP 5 BEAUTY THINGS I SUCK AT!

Tagged by Unboxing Beauty, check out her lovely blog here: http://unboxingbeauty.blogspot.com/

Without further ado, here's my list of THE BEAUTY THINGS I SUCK AT!

1- Concealing: I just started looking into concealers recently not because I have a zit-free face that I don't need to conceal. I just did not bother to do that extra step to cover my blemishes, because I really thought the foundation is enough!

2- Tweezing my eyebrows: I hate tweezing! It hurts, no matter what they say; icing it, stretching the skin or tweezing after a hot shower - it still hurts! I'm glad my eyebrows are pretty much in shape and just needs some cleaning up, so I only tweeze it when I really have to; before a date night or a girl's night or a meeting...I still hate it tho!

3- Getting my hair trimmed and staying with the same hair dresser: I keep going to a different one around my neighborhood because I still have not found the right hair dresser for me! It's also my laziness since I only go get my hair trimmed like once or twice a year, and they keep telling me to come back next month which I don't. I usually trim it myself when I'm in the mood to sit for an hour and trim my split ends. And having all these great hair products I just bought recently to keep my hair healthy have helped me to avoid the hair salons. . .and maybe (more of hoping) forever!

4- I don't know how to give myself a nice blowout! I use our hair dryer to dry my hair when I shower at night before going to bed, and drying our wet German Shepherd from the pouring rain outside since the sham-wow is not enough. I've tried it before, but I can't seem to multi-task a hair brush on one hand and the hair dryer on the other! I can multi-task making French Press coffee, toasting the bagels and making omelettes in the kitchen but not a hair brush and a dryer! Is it just me or do you guys have or had this problem?

5- Forgetting to put sunscreen on top of my feet: Since Spring has sprung, the sun has been beaming happily here in New York and I had to start wearing my fave Hawaiian Tropic Sunscreen all over. Last week, when I went to give myself a pedicure I see a Mary-Jane shoe tan line on my feet! My feet had fat striped tan lines! LOL! I never thought I would see tan lines and of all places, on my feet! This early in May! I guess this one I suck-ED at because since then I have not forgotten to put sunscreen on my feet!

I am working on making this list into eventually I will be good at! Making a list of my beauty weaknesses makes me realize this can be a check list of what I should work on this year or this summer or the next few weeks. I love this tag! Thanks again to Unboxing Beauty for tagging me!
As to who I will be tagging, well - all of you who have read this and have not done this tag - go DO IT!

  1. LOL at number 5! I totally know what you mean. Don't forget them feet! I never really wore sunblock unless I'm at the beach. One summer, you could really tell because my feet got tan and I got that line as well.

  3. I usually don't put sunscreen on my feet either and then I get the tan lines of my sandals!
I don't pluck my brows I hate doing it, I just go to a salon and get them threaded, it is a lot faster. Have you tried threading?
Those little eyebrow razors you can get from the beauty supply store help as well, you can gently take off some of the hair that has grown back and that way you don't have to pluck or thread as much. I actually watched a Youtube video on how to thread my own brows it was by Farah Dhukai here is the link if you are interested http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjJuRReUGc8 I did it and it actually worked.
