I wasn't planning on posting a makeup look for the holidays but once I saw this palette I knew I just had to share you this shimmery and sparkly NYE makeup look using the
Moodstruck Addiction Shadow Palette 1
and also a quick review on their
Stiff Upper Lip lip stains
About the brand
I have featured this brand before here on my blog site. You can read more about Younique products and read my review on their very famous Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes+ as well by clicking HERE!
About the products
Moodstruck Addiction Shadow Palette 1
This is a Warm palette with shades of peaches and brown. Comes with 7 beautiful shades that are crease resistant, long wearing, fade-resistant and build-able shadows.
Elated - matte beige
Sincere - shimmery light taupe
Brassy - shimmery light peach
Chipper - matte brown
Swanky - shimmery antique gold shade
Forthright - matte deep brown
Zealous - shimmery dark brown
Stiff Upper Lip lip stains
This lip stain provides a tinted, long lasting color with a smooth matte finish.
The following colors that I have here are:
Sultry - red tint
Shy - pink
Savvy - violet
Saucy - orange
These lip stains definitely left a hard-to-remove stain on my arm. Not even warm water and hand soap removed it! This product has a very watery consistency to it that it's hard to get an even application but a stained lip look has that gradient look on the lips, if you like that look.
NYE Look
As soon as I opened the Moodstruck Addiction Palette 1 I quickly fell in-love with the super shimmery shades of Swanky (antique gold shade) and Zealous (shimmery deep brown), and I knew I had to do a New Year's Eve look! When else can you get away with super shimmery smokey eyes?!
So on the eyes: I used Chipper on the crease.
Swanky on the center of my lids.
Forthright + Zealous on the outter corners. Winging these shades out as well to make it more dramatic for the long night ahead!
Brassy on the inner corners and 1/3 of the lower lid.
Forthright + Zealous again on the lower lids.
I blended the lower lid shadows with Chipper on a blending brush.
On the brow bone is Elated.
To finish up the look you can definitely wear false lashes but for my lashes, I used the
Younique Moodsruck 3D Fiber Lashes+ mascara to elongate and to give volume.
I defined my brows and darken them up a bit using ABH Dipbrow in Ebony.
For the rest of the face, I just kept it simple and tried my best to make my skin look flawless.
Foundation by Bourjous Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation
Contoured with Pür Cosmetics Cameo Contour Dual Ended stick in Tan
I skipped the blush for this look and just focused on the eyes for this one.
Concealed with Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer. and
Highlighted with Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal + theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer.
I played with a ton of different lip colors for this one but to keep it all about the eyes here I kept the lips neutral and used ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid lipstick in Beeper.
I can see this look complementing a lot of beautiful New Year's Eve outfits. Of course, you can also wear this to any evening events you have/ date nights/ girl's night outs or to your Sister's house (like I do lol!). I will be pulling this palette out a lot if I do want to wear a beautiful shimmery eye look.
By the way, this look was done without using any eyeshadow primer! They have great pigmentation but the matte shadows have a bit of a fall out because of it's fine milled powder. I do warn you to be careful to blend with this shadow since it can get muddy quick.
What will you be wearing or doing for New Year's Eve???
Hope you all have a wonderful, sparkly New Year's Eve and I'll see you all again here on 2016!
