March & April 2014 Favorites

April flew by for me, and oh my gosh! It's already May, my birthday month!
Before we do jump to May where my calendar has full of exciting plans going on let me update you on my monthly favorites! Here are my
MARCH & APRIL 2014 Favorites!

for MARCH, if you recall I went on a no-buy makeup, so I was giving love to a lot of products I already have. I don't want to say they are old products because I did just get them recently.

1- Lavina Skincare 100% Argan Oil: I may have given my Josie Maran argan oil a rest to try this product out and so far argan oils has been the only ones that takes away the frizz from my hair, feels lightweight and non-greasy.

*HASK Argan Oil Healing Shine Hair Treatment (not pictured above): Is another hair oil I am loving! You can check out my review on the HASK Argan Oil line, HERE!
Lightweight, non-greasy and frizz free with both products! Also try blow drying cool air while brushing hair after putting some hair oil - that gives my hair more shine and keeps it straight!

2- Urban Decay Naked1 Palette: I know I am late on the Naked-palette train but I honestly did not want to spend $50 on a palette. I have bought most of my makeup with a discount and this included! I got this during the 20%Off FF Event on Urban Decay's website last February, and as a Valentine's gift from hubby - I picked this up plus another Revolution lipstick.
I have been using this palette when I just want some color on my lids. It does lack matte black and white which I am so used to with the LoracPro Palette so I do still have to grab another palette to get some matte shadows (for transition and highlight) to combine with the beautiful shimmery shadows this palette has.

3- W3LL People Narcissist stick no.3: I received this product from a goodie bag I got from a Birchblogger event (which I wrote about HERE!). Shirley Pinkson (co-founder of W3LL People) gave me this shade to use as my highlight, and so I have been using this under my eye and on the bridge of my nose. This goes on pretty creamy, creases a bit but with the W3LL PEOPLE translucent powder, it sets really well! I love how this really brightens my face!

4- FRESH Beauty SUGAR lip treatment in Rosé: I have been using this as a lip balm around the house. I love all FRESH Beauty lip treatments! They are all just so creamy and moisturizing on the lips. Since I do not want a lot of color on my lips I use this one.

5- Mally Beauty Evercolor Starlight Minis in Plum, Milk Chocolate and Midnight: I was really lucky to have received this as a prize and I may just purchase them once these are gone because they are the creamiest, glides on oh-so-super smooth on my water line! They smudge and stay-put on the lids. My fave of all is the Plum (dark purple) because it is that nice pop of color on the eyes that compliments my dark brown eyes!

My APRIL favorites, I really had a hard time narrowing it down to less than 10 since I have been playing with a lot of the makeup I purchased from IMATS (which you can check my haul HERE), but I know I need to give some of them some more time to make them my favorites so these products I chose are the ones I have been grabbing for a lot this month.

1- Cinema Secrets Foundation Kit#6 + Beauty Blender (BB): This combo has been my foundation routine since I got them from IMATS. The foundation has medium, buildable coverage, and with the 5 different shades that it comes with I have been trying to do some contouring and highlighting with it as well! Using the Beauty Blender, it blends everything flawlessly!
beauty tip: I have been using the beauty blender bar soap to clean my BB right after I use it and it has kept my BB looking new! Yes that picture above, I have used it so many times already!

2- Dr. Brandt Pores No More pore refiner: I received this as part of a prize from a Birchbox contest and this makes my skin looks pretty smooth!

3- Too Face Better Than Sex Mascara: I received this product to review and I am so fortunate to get this as I have been wanting to try this mascara out but I don't really want to spend that much money for a mascara that will only last me three months.
I am so torn though as I am loving this mascara a lot! It gives me that thicker looking lashes; keeps my lash curled and has length to it! And it does not flake off even after 5-8 hours of wear! So for high end mascara I would suggest to try this out.

4- NYX Jumbo pencil - Yogurt: This rosey-champagne color I have been using as a base in my inner corner highlight and on my lower water line to brighten up a look. It goes on smoothly and it is so easy to smudge!

5- Jessie's Girl waterproof liquid eyeliner - black: Another one I purchased at IMATS and of all the liquid liners I have, this is definitely my favorite! It goes on smooth and the black is really black and applies on evenly! I have no problem doing a super thin or thick wing liner with this pen. I do wish it is available at drugstores, for now it is only available to purchase at

6- W3LL PEOPLE Realist X Mineral Prime Polisher- clear/ translucent: This powder has been my go-to setting powder! It is so finely milled that when applied on the face it doesn't really highlight my dry areas unlike other ones I have used. This has been the best one I have found to use to set my under eye area too! No creasing as long as I blend it well!

7- Aquaphor Lip Repair: I have noticed I have no clear lip balm at all and have actually been using my Julep lip gloss and Sugar lip tinted balms to moisturize my lips. I have a dry area on my lips that doesn't seem to go away so I purchased this. I like to use this as well to moisturize my lips before applying a bold lipstick on. It does keep my lips hydrated and very smooth!
