Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara

Lately I have actually been using two different mascaras to achieve some va-va-voom lashes. I was super excited to get this Influenster Voxbox of
Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara
and put it to the test!

About the product

Marc Jacobs Beauty
Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara
An ultra-volumizing mascara that delivers instant dimension for epic lashes.
It claims to give 1800% more volume and give the look of false lashes.
The curvy brush places the most volume at the hard-to-reach lash lines.

Here's the mascara with two applications on both my upper and lower lashes.
*Please ignore my unruly brows. I know they need some serious threading.
And those under eye wrinkles are looking serious indeed!

My Thoughts
I love the simple look but has luxury-feel of the packaging.
The formula has an almost-dry formula to it like a gel-ish consistency.
On my first try of this mascara, I saw instant length to my lashes BUT do be careful how much product you have on your wand since it can get clumpy if there's too much there.
I always curl my lashes first and this mascara helps to hold the curl really well! I didn't get any fall outs or any flakiness with this mascara.

It's a great mascara, but I am not fully in-love with it. I have a hard time applying it evenly on all my lashes. Some lashes look thicker than the others and making them all even re-applying a few layers can get clumpy and messy. I am not sure if I would repurchase it as there are tons of mascaras in the drugstore that can give me better looking lashes.
